Car crashes in the Middle East can be quite the spectacle. When I first moved there, I wondered about the crowds that gathered quickly following a crash. Everyone seemed to be standing around, talking excitedly, pointing this way and that. Some were on the phone. More were rushing to get there. Cars pulled over, and others got out. It is quite the scene. I later learned what was happening was brokerage or mediation.
